Washington state becomes the 17th in the nation to pass an anti-discrimination law that includes protection against discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation after a 30 year battle.

The Green Party and its platform have long fought for full equality for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender Americans, including the equal right to housing, healthcare, freedom from discrimination, adoption and marriage.
