Green Party of Seattle Endorses Aaron Dixon for U.S. Senate!

Aaron Dixon

Aaron Dixon, long time community activist and former captain of the Black Panther Party of Seattle has been endorsed in his run for U.S. Senate on the Green Party ticket!

Aaron Dixon, a respected community activist with three decades of effective experience working for justice and peace announced his candicacy for the United States Senate seat currently occupied by Maria Cantwell earlier this month.

Mr. Dixon believes, as Greens do, that Senator Cantwell's positions -- and votes -- on crucial issues such as peace and war, fair trade and corporate control, as well as civil liberties vs. unchecked government surveillance, do not represent the majority of Washington State residents.

With her consistent support of the War in Iraq, her vote for the USA PATRIOT Act (and its reauthorization earlier this year) as well as her refusal to join a filibuster of reactionary Supreme Court nominee Samuel Alito, Washington voters need a progressive alternative.

Mr. Dixon offers that alternative with principled stances on the issues of peace, social justice, education and marriage equality.

He's already been endorsed by Brita Butler-Wall and Sally Soriano of the Seattle School Board, Amy Hagopian, the president of the Garfield High School PTSA, the Black Panther Party Legacy Committee, the Green Party of Mason County and Ralph Nader's 2004 running mate and current Green Party of California gubernatorial candidate, Peter Miguel Camejo.

The Green Party of Seattle encourages you to contact Mr. Dixon's campaign and get involved in a chance to build a stronger Green Party and a genuine progressive electoral movement for Washington State!
